Yes, I seem to have been doing this one forever. Thank you! : ) I'm not quite sure what you mean by freehand but I draw quilting lines with a fine gauge pencil and quilt to that. For straight lines, like in the arcs, I used a ruler but in the edge patches, I eyeballed it. (As you would spot seeing the quilt in the cloth, as it were. *g*) The fleur-de-lys in the centre was a commercial design I resized and pencil transferred.
I suppose I should credit them but I hear the company hasn't paid quilters for designs contributed to their magazine, so...
