Today’s Conundrum

I've admired the work of a particular artist for over 3 years and always known that owning a piece was beyond my stars. Owing to a chain of circumstance, I can now afford to buy all three of this year's edition.

I no longer want to. I find that incredibly curious. How many of the things that lie beyond our reach would we still want if there was suddenly no barrier to obtaining them?
