I signed up for a basic account (you could do that back then!) on 12th October 2004. Yeah, yeah, I know what it says on the profile page --which I still think *fails* and bring-back-the-old-one-NOW-- but there have been a few name changes between then and now. I'm not getting into the whys and wherefors --that's not the point of the post-- this is more about why I'm still here.
So why am I still here? Why don't I post regularly in one of my other blogs: Blogger, Wordpress, IJ, Deviantart? There are more blogs that I follow on those other sites than there are on LJ. It would make complete sense for me to migrate and stay there, so why haven't I?
An excellent question.
An easy answer: familiarity. I started here. I know my way around here now. I've been here so long that it's intuitive. The other sites aren't. At least, not to me. And that is why I'm still here. Simples! as the meercat says. ;)
