Aniet, I went to Ingleborough cave in Yorkshire. Not one I’ve visited before although I know others who have. Not too long inside, no great caverns and a lovely long walk by a river up to it plus lots of pretty Yorkshire countryside (hills!) to admire.
The walk was pleasant; plenty of shade, a breeze and a couple of stiles/kissing gates to climb over. There was time for a drink before the next tour started and to admire the distant glacier-carved steep hills before starting in.
As caves go, I've been in ones I liked more, and that had better features, but I still bumped my head on the low passage.
Over the bridge, then, and up to the so-called 'gorge'; a stretch of cliff face that has pitons left in by previous climbers. As luck would have it, there were 3 young men there, abseiling down as I arrived. I exercised my camera (:P) and watched them, perched on the rocks. The climbing trio soon made tracks but other walkers came exploring. When I had my puff back, I reversed my steps and made my way seiz-mé, a little tired and achy but otherwise okay.
This time, I made sure to copy my photos across before viewing them! Not all are focused as I took some on the move but mostly I'm pleased with them.
