ieuneWe had hailstones the size of marrowfat peas after sunset last night. The lawn was white with them. Then the sleety snow blew in. I had visions of the roads/ pavements being a vast skating rink since the gritters only do the main roads. I woke to bright sun and icy blue skies. No hailstone. No ice. No skating rink. The wind is positively Antarctic though.
