I managed to piece the backing for the Table Runner With No Name (henceforth known as the damned... or TRWNN lol)--and it had been driving me daft because I couldn't see how to make it match. (I had the dumb again. heh) Off I go to fetch batting to make a quilt sandwich, only... it's not there.

I searched. I emptied my cupboard. All right, cupboards, plural. And the drawers. How does one lose a roll of Thermore batting? I adjourned for a think and coffee. Then I remembered it had been cut up into two wallhangings and 'Pale and Interesting'. All I have are some scraps and certainly not enough for the TRWNN so until my order comes (oh dear! I ordered more than batting.) I'm cutting 3" hexagons for a bed quilt.

It's going to showcase the plum/gold oriental fabrics I've collected over the last couple of years. The feature fabric is sinuous lung flying through stylised chrysanthemums with maple and bamboo leaves.

I need 188 hexs and some diamonds to piece into tumbling blocks for variety. So far, I've got... *counts* 30. A few more yet, then. :)

À la préchaine!
