La journée de la libéthâtion.

They celebrate Liberation Day in Jersey today. Since Jèrri et les Jèrriais have a special place in my heart, I wish them Bouôn Pid, Bouôn Yi, Bouonne Dent, et l'Paradis à la fîn d'vouos jours!
In honour of this special occasion, I invite participation in a (tagless) meme that I yoinked from somewhere on LJ ages ago. If you had me under your command and could make me write anything, what would you love to see me write? No guarantees that I’ll actually write it but if it catches my imagination…
It doesn't have to be related to Jersey, or my OCs, (unless you're so inclined) so long as it fits the spirit of the meme. Have fun! À la préchaine!

Date: 11 May 2009 02:00 pm (UTC)'Kay, but if you want Marcus it would have to be at Hogwarts. He didn't go to Beauxbatons.

*snip*
He’s seen his Uncle work some astonishing magic before but this is another kind of magic altogether. Standing on a keel baulk offcut at Uncle Darri’s shoulder, he watches as the hazy sunlight is broken into narrow dusty beams by flecks of thrown-up sawdust and long, curling turnings that his uncle has to blow away every few seconds so he can see the slight registration marks he made on this block of woods.
...
Here, in his uncle’s boatyard, it’s okay to ask questions --encouraged even-- and uncle Darri had smiled and said he’d show him what he was going to do with it but wouldn’t he like some coffee and a snack first? It was a long journey from Beaubatons to Paris and then to Jersey, taken Side-Along.
*snip*
Marcus's nephew, Nicky, goes to Beauxbatons, from where Marcus gets an owl one morning asking him to attend at his earliest convenience as the Headmistress wishes to speak with him. Puzzled (why hasn't the owl gone to his parents?) but curious, Marcus goes and is taken aback by what he hears.
As for why he'd dislike the Metro, or the London underground for that matter, that would be the smell, crowds, noise, and that it's underground. He
hatesdoesn't like caves either.no subject
